HISTORY OF Our Work In Eastern Virginia:
As a Result of Our Work in Eastern Virginia, AMHDD Provides a Variety of Services for Participants Receiving Services From the Department of Rehabilitation, Social Services, Workforce Investment Act, Mental Health Agencies and Court Services. The dedication of our staff and volunteers has produced outstanding results such as our program Youth Services. We work with young ladies between the ages of 12-18 in urban areas of Virginia. In our holistic program we encourage each participant to realize her own potential, gain self-confidence, to break her cycle of despair and hopelessness, become self- reliant, and live a future full of promise. In exploring their own potential, we enrich our girls with cultural and art opportunities such as, lessons in dance, choral and drama, seasonal passes for the performing arts and field trips to Virginia’s Museums.
We Will be Offering Four Progressive Residential Programs to meet our Client’s Needs. This includes In- Home Services:
1. A Community- Base Transitional Home for Men, Ages 21-65
